The Prince's flag of the Dutch is the 'Oranje, Blanje, Bleu' (Orange, White, Blue). Orange representing Prince William's Principality of Orange, the white the struggle for freedom and supremacy, and the blue color the signature color of the former County of Nassau.
In 1813 the current red, white, blue with orange pennant was used for the first time and only in 1937 a royal decree issued by Queen Wilhelmina laid down the red, white and blue colors as the national Dutch flag.
